You might not believe it but it’s true. It’s possible now day’s to use your cell phone or your wife’s cell phone or your children’s cell phone as a GPS tracking device to keep track of them. It seems like this would only be possible in the movies but it’s actually possible for the average everyday person to track the people that they care about with their cell phones. It’s possible because all cell phone manufacturers put GPS receiver chips in the cell phones that they make now.
Before you can start using your cell phone as a GPS tracking device, you need to make sure that it will work with the cell phone tracking applications that are commonly available. These phones are usually called smart phones.
The apps that you can download on your cell phone for cell phone tracking are Sprint Family Locator, Google Latitude, Find My iPhone, MobiWee, and Glympse. The Sprint cell phone tracker and Find My iPhone aren’t free but the others are. It cost’s $5.00 a month for the Sprint service and $100 a year for the Find My iPhone service.
If you choose Google Latitude and many people do, you will download and install the app and then you will send friend requests to your friends who also have cell phones. If they don’t already have Latitude installed on their cell phone’s they can do so and after they do, you will be able to accept your friend request. When they have done that, you and all of your friends can keep track of each other through their cell phones.
