Are you an avid hunter, or a gun enthusiast? Most hunters and enthusiasts tend to own more than one gun or rifle. Usually many more than one! Gun owners are well aware of the cost of firearms and associated equipment, most consider them investments. Being a gun owner brings with it the responsibility of safety; yours, your families and neighbors.

No one wants to see children playing with guns, and you certainly wouldn’t want an intruder to your home grabbing one of your guns to shoot you with. While at work or gone for a weekend there is the possibility that your home could be broken into and literally thousands of dollars worth of firearms taken.

To prevent any of the above scenarios the firearms owner should invest in a gun safe. Gun safes are fire and flood ‘proof’; they are exceptionally heavy making them very difficult to steal. The size of safe needed depends on the number and type of guns that you own. Gun safes are NOT cheap, and you will own it for a very long time. Research extensively prior to purchasing a safe, this is time consuming but will ensure that you are happy with your purchase.

If you plan on adding to your firearms collection, get a larger gun safe than you currently need (this will reduce the need to buy another gun safe in the future). Look into the pros and cons of keyed locks, combination locks and fingerprint locks. How many shelves are needed for ammunition, scopes, cleaning supplies and gloves? Does the gun safe have a dehumidifier? This is important – a dehumidifier keeps your guns from getting moisture damage, and most importantly, keeps your ammunition dry.

NOTE: When selecting the type of lock you want on your gun safe, keep in mind how quickly you will need to open it. If there is an intruder in your house, you probably won’t want to be searching for your keys or trying to remember a combination.

Safe Outdoor Bike Storage with a Storage Shed

My boyfriend is the kind of guy who has owned a bike for his entire life. He rides it every day, and he has put a lot of time into making sure it’s a fantastic bike. When we moved in together, we quickly realized that there was not room enough in our apartment to keep the bike in anymore, which is what he had done up to this point. He was going to have to start keeping it outside.

The idea made him pretty nervous at first, so I did some research for him. I ended up finding a store near us where we could get a bike storage shed to install in the back yard. I wasn’t sure at first if this would be a good choice or not, but once I saw it in person I knew it would work perfectly. A storage shed is strong, with firm walls and a solid door that seals tightly with a combination lock. So I knew it would be strong enough to prevent the bike from being stolen.

I also knew my boyfriend was going to be worried about rain getting the bike wet, but with it built so nicely, that’s not a concern either. It just won’t get in.

He loved it once he saw it, but he just wanted somewhere to keep his equipment, as the shed is a bit too small for that. I solved that problem by finding some mudroom locker plans for him to build a locker by the back door. He put a couple extra shelves in it, and now he can just grab his things, head outside, and be gone in a couple minutes.

What To Do If You Accidently Catch A Northern Pike

Imagine yourself on a fishing trip along the northern boundary waters of Minnesota, fishing for walleye or trolling for lake trout, thinking about how good these fish will taste in camp later on, and then suddenly something takes your lure like a moving torpedo and starts a ferocious fight with you deep in the water…when this happens there is a good chance you have caught a northern pike. Since you weren’t pike fishing to start with, you probably don’t have foremost in mind any fishing tips for pike – especially those that instruct you how to handle one safely. And handling one safely is of the utmost importance because northern pike can hurt you.

What to do if you accidently catch a northern pike is better stated as what not to do. Do not haul the northern pike into your boat. Northern pike have razor sharp teeth as well as red tissue inside of their gills that is just as sharp as their teeth. I have read where an old-timer said that there are three safe ways to put a northern pike in the boat. The first way is to bash it in the head with a club. The point is, don’t bring a northern pike into the boat with you. Northern pike have a tendency to thrash about wildly in the bottom of a boat – and usually just at the wrong time, like when you are trying to remove a hook from its mouth.

A safer way to handle a northern pike without hurting the fish is to try and unhook it at the side of the boat with the fish still in the water . One way is to use needle nose pliers to firmly grab the hook, keeping your hands well away from the pike’s mouth, and let the fish work itself off the hook. If the fish is small, you can grab it firmly on the back of its head and carefully work the hook out.

If the fish is large, and you don’t want to harm it, make it to the shoreline where you can beach it. Wearing leather or fish handling gloves, reach carefully into the gill flap, not touching the red part until you feel bone in the lower jaw that you can firmly grab. Have someone also hold down the tail end of the fish while you or someone else works the hook loose using needle nosed pliers.

In summary, if you remember one tip about northern pike fishing, it is don’t bring one into the boat and if you do, don’t be squeamish about bashing it on the head. At that point you need to consider the safety of you and your companions or family that are in the boat with you. If it makes you feel better, find a good recipe for northern pike and enjoy your catch with the good feeling that you didn’t kill the pike for no good reason.

Buying basketball shorts online can be fun.  There are so many options to chose from.  You can buy college basketball shorts, NBA basketball shorts, or just regular mens and womens basketball shorts.  I like buy basketball shorts online because I can find some shorts that I really like.  If you go to a store you are limited to what they have on stock and they usually are just generic options.
Buying online just keeps on getting easier.  You can go get your NBA shorts at the NBA store.  If you like cheap basketball shorts, Amazon.com has an excellent selection.  I know I have bought a couple of nice, but cheap basketball shorts on Amazons website.

I like looking through all the limitless options that you have online.  My favorite site to go to look at shorts is the NBA store.  You can get the shorts of your favorite team really easy.  They have the at least one pair of shorts for every single one of the thirty teams in the NBA.  I am hoping and waiting for them to get the new Utah Jazz basketball shorts now that they went back to their retro.  I am a huge fan of theirs and I need those shorts for the start of the season.  I was also able to get my nephew some Miami Heat shorts because he is a huge Lebron James fan.  Then I got some Celtics shorts for my cousin who lives out in Boston and loves the Celtics.  It is a one stop shop to buy basketball shorts online, which for me helps me relieve the headache of shopping at the mall.

It has always been my fantasy to have a sexy and lean body. That is why I tried every way possible for me to achieve that.
