Rubbermaid FastTrack Garage System

With the growing number of people looking for additional storage solutions in their house, many are turning to the garage as a place to store seasonal or personal belongings. The tools needed for assembly are common items that you already most likely have in your garage or house so there should really be no additional cost to you outside of the track system itself.

So you will need a level, screwdriver, drill, pen or pencil and possibly a stud finder. A stud finder helps to find the studs in the wall to put the screws into so they are better supported. Otherwise if you are going to be hitting drywall, it is best to use anchors with the screws instead of the screws going directly into the walls. The only additional items you will need to purchase is if you are going to be installing the unit into either brick or cement, as this system is geared to be attached to wood or drywall.

Track systems offer nice flexibility that some other garage storage solutions don’t, because hooks and bins are easy to snap in or out, the rails can be extended or expanded so they are able to grow with your garage storage needs and it offers great flexibility. If you don’t like something that is hanging at the top level, you can take it down and have it back up in place in the middle or the bottom in a snap of the fingers.

Time to Do Something About That Garage Floor?

When was the last time you took a good look around inside your garage? Have you ever stopped to think that, of all the rooms in your house, it is the one that is on display to your neighbors? In fact, if you are like the majority of Americans, you hit the button on your garage door opener many times, each and every day. With that in mind, how do you feel about what they see?

For a lot of people, cleaning out the garage or doing something to upgrade the appearance of the garage floor is somewhere near “schedule a root canal” on their list of things they are anxious to tackle. Tile, on the other hand, is typically installed wall to wall and can be put down no matter what condition the floor is in.

Whatever method proves to be the right one for your particular situation, the important thing is to move forward with the project. When finished, the difference will be so great that you will be amazed that you waited so long.
