The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible - Arthur C. Clarke
Most adults can look back on their childhood and remember a toy or item they cherished. For some it is a stuffed animal someone gave them, for others it may be a doll or toy car. For me and for many people, it was a playhouse. Playhouses have always been popular with children. I know I cherished the time I spent in mine when I was growing up. Mine was built especially for me by my grandfather so that made it even more special. When I was growing up, there were not many on the market and the ones that were available were too expensive for most people so a lot of parents and grandparents worked hard to make playhouses for their kids.
Today, toy playhouses are more popular than ever and also more affordable. When children are asked what is the one toy they want more than anything, most will say a childrens playhouse and for good reason! Here are some advantages to giving your little one a playhouse:
1) It will allow the child to be independent.
2) Your child can learn valuable skills that will help him or her in the future.
3) Children can interact with other children in a setting all their own without the influence of adults.
4) Children learn by mimicking the adults in their lives and having a house they can call their own will let them do the things they see adults doing, but in their own space.
There are many playhouses available. Some are big, others are small. The size you buy should depend on the age and size of your child as some houses are made specifically with certain ages and even gender in mind. These playhouses come in every color and design imaginable and each one is set up with various features. Some have a kitchen in them while others will have furniture. You can also buy one with no features on the inside so you and your child can add your own touch to it. They can be purchased in most department stores and toy stores but the widest selection is available online.
